In 2007 the Flemish government, stimulated by the then miniser of culture Bert Anciaux, bought the well known collection of mechanical music instruments of Jef and Jeannine Ghysels-Picalausa in Schaarbeek.
Recently, the current minister of culture Joke Schauvliege decided that in due time the collection will be moved the Vleeshuis museum in the centre of Antwerp. Until then, the collection is in storage in a climate-controlled shed of Katoen Natie in the harbour in Kallo; there, Jolien Paeshuys of the heritage department of the city of Antwerp looks after the collection.
